About Why dont we bring an NHL team to Fairfield County, CT

Why dont we bring an NHL team to Fairfield County, CT?
Why does North Jersey and Long Island gotta hog the suburban NY sports teams. Why dont Bridgeport, Stamford, Fairfield, Danbury, etc. get any love yet Hempstead and Newark do. Are we not as important to the tri-state NY metro area as NJ or LI? Stop dissing the FC NHL! Who agrees?

Answer 1 :
LOL good luck with getting one there. Will never, ever happen. Bridgeport does have the Sound Tigers which is the Islanders AHL affiliate last time i checked.
Answer 2 :
well if they gave teams to all the places that wanted one, the NHL would have hundreds of teams and that would be stupid
Answer 3 :
I'm Canadian and I have no idea where the hell that is - only a vague reference. NY has two teams, but realistically only one of them competes. With the Islanders in need of expensive renovations to Nassau coliseum, NY city could be down to one team. Sorry, but I think its time the next franchise, be it expansion (unlikely) or a move, should go north of the border.
Answer 4 :
Dude i live in fairfield County!...Hartford Whalers should come back hhaha...but thats not fairfield county..good question..i want FC NHL
Answer 5 :
Because You can't Financially support one, The Islanders threating to move to Kansas City so It shows that New York has one too many teams, I would look at Mayor Daley of Chicago asking for another NFL Team to the Bears, He could ask for a 2nd NHL Team to the Blackhawks as well but realistically It won't happen in Chicago or Connecticut because People are loyal to one team or the Other and not enter a third Party in the Argument. No Offense but Fairfield County CT can't support a NHL Team.
Answer 6 :
How dare you compare CT with NJ or LI. Rhode Island should come before CT.

How do you feel about illegals drinking & driving who cause fatal accidents?
NASSAU COUNTY (WABC) -- The New York State Police is investigating a deadly car accident which occurred on at approximately 4:52 a.m. on Saturday. It happened on the Wantagh Parkway Northbound about ¼ mile south of Hempstead Turnpike. Oscar E. Ramirez-Lopez, 29, of Brentwood NY, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, was driving a Ford-Windstar north bound on the Wantagh Parkway. The Windstar sideswiped a 2000 Kia-Sephia, driven by Ilario Scuteri, 49, of West Islip, NY. The collision killed Scuteri and his passenger, Daniel Cambardella, 46, of North Babylon, NY. Investigators say the Windstar was traveling on the left lane of the roadway and the Kia on the right lane when the Windstar sideswiped the Kia. After being struck by the Windstar the Kia left the roadway, entered the right shoulder and traveled northeast on the shoulder of the roadway until it struck a tree. The Windstar struck the center divider twice before coming to a stop on the middle of the roadway. Ramirez-Lopez, who had been drinking, was arrested and charged with Vehicular Manslaughter 1st Degree, Driving While Intoxicated and Driving With-Out a License. He was processed at the State Police Farmingdale Barracks after being released from the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. He was then transported to Nassau County for arraignment. Scuteri and Cambardella were removed from the scene by the Nassau County Medical Examiner's Office. As a result of this accident investigation the Wantagh Parkway was closed for approximately six hours. Anyone who may have witness the accident or has any information pertaining to this incident is urged to contact Inv. Sean Michael Pagano at (516) 561-8492. I hate drunk drivers, all of them. But to be a drunk driver who is in the country illegally is even worse in my book. Why? Because according to their supporters, they are only here for a better life. Does that better life mean taking someone else's life, or ruining a whole family's lives?

About How much does it cost to fly from England to the US

How much does it cost to fly from England to the US?
I have a best friend, whos X-girlfriend was recently forced to move to Hemel Hempstead, England (aka Hertfordshire). They still love each other, but the distance was eating them both to pieces. They decided to break up. Both of them have told me they really want to see each other again, over the summer, but neither of them can afford to go. I am pretty sure my parents can afford it, if I can talk them into it. But I need to know how much it costs! I really want to help both of them, cause I can see how depressed they are getting! Please help me! I want to know the cheapest trip from Hertfordshire to North Carolina, and I would like to know how much it costs, what airline, and where the girl should stay. There is plenty of room at my house, but im pretty sure she still has family that lives down here. Please help! I would really like to see my best friend Cameron get reunited with his old girlfriend!!!!! Thanks! ~Carl

Answer 1 :
Look on Airline websites for prices...
Answer 2 :
Depends on the time of year + which airline you use (and may not necessarily include Gordon Brown's "green" stealth airport taxes) + also which airport you fly to. I've seen flights to New York advertised for around £200, though RYANAIR were working on offering flights to the USA for £7 (though not sure what's become of that). http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/2007-04-12-ryanair-explores-airline-usa_N.htm Most Flights to the USA cost anything from £200 to well over £1500 Try these sites for some prices: http://www.jduck1979.co.uk/html/flight_search.html http://www.flyglobespan.com/ http://www.expedia.co.uk/ If flying using budget flights from FlyGlobeSpan, you'll likely also need these links to get from the airport(s) they fly to in the USA to North Carolina: http://www.greyhound.com/ http://www.amtrak.com/
Answer 3 :
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. just go here: http://bookme.com/ and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
